Denali Backcountry Adventure July 22-26
On this fun trip, students embark to Denali National Park to join in on Denali Backcountry Adventures. Denali Backcountry Adventures is an introductory backpacking experience for high school students and student groups through Alaskan partner organizations. This trip is an excellent opportunity to foster interest in the natural world by exploring Denali’s wilderness. No prior experience is necessary. If you or a group of students you work with are adventurous, have a positive attitude, and are interested in improving your wilderness, teamwork, and leadership skills, this expedition could be the highlight of your summer!
Students will depart North Pole High School on the morning of July 22 and return to North Pole High School on the afternoon/evening of July 26. The trip will be by Rebecca Missler, a T3 Alaska Educator, and a Denali National Park Ranger. This trip is free and open to any Fairbanks area high school student. Limited availability.

Denali Field Camps May 27
On this series of field trips, students embark to Denali National Park’s Teklanika Field Camp to experience hands-on science activities, practice outdoor safety skills, and discuss land-management challenges with park educators. Students will depart North Pole High School on the morning of the trip and return to North Pole High School on the afternoon/evening of the. May’s trip is led by Greg Clark and June and July trips are lead by Zack Williams, both T3 Alaska Educators, and along with a Denali National Park Ranger.
May Trip: Students will depart North Pole High School on the morning of May 27th and return to North Pole High School on the afternoon/evening of May 30th.
