U.S. Captial Christmas Tree Project

Every year, a different national forest is selected to provide a tree to appear on the west lawn of the U.S. Capitol building for the holiday season. The 2024 tree will be coming from Alaska’s National Forests. In addition to selecting the tree, the National Forest Service is working with T3 Alaska students to create some of the 10,000 decorative ornaments!

You can get involved too.  We need your help to make handmade ornaments to decorate the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree and companion trees. Click here for guidelines and more information on the ornaments.
