MakerCam: Your Selfie Studio – RPi Activity
Get ready to capture your moments with a Raspberry Pi selfie station! We’re excited to announce our “MakerCam: Your Selfie Studio” project, where creativity meets technology. This hands-on activity invites students to learn coding with RPI while designing and building an attractive selfie booth that celebrates your school and your community.
Here’s how it works: Use a RPI computer and sensors to create a fun, engaging selfie station. Spark your imagination as you design a custom housing for your PiKit – think fun, creative and Instagram-worthy! Pick a theme(s) and add decorations and props to make your station irresistible, and don’t forget to highlight the special features of your community.
Bonus given to clubs that can take their learning out into their community to solve a problem. What can you do with your new skills to help out in your community? Need funding? Submit a mini-grant…
Once your selfie station is up and running, encourage your friends, classmates, and community members to strike a pose. Snap those selfies and upload them to our shared Google Album to spread your unique version of “MakerCam: Your Selfie Studio.”
Participants will receive a surprise gift and if you earn it, an RPI badge that opens future opportunities!
