Holiday Makerspace Challenge
‘Tis the season for Holiday Baking! We’ve added even more fun to the annual holiday baking event – a Holiday Makerspace Challenge! Here’s how it works – be sure to read all the instructions before starting. 😉
- First, sign up your site by November 7. *Students don’t have to wait until November 8th to start prototyping cookie cutters.
- If sites opt into an exchange you’ll get information on your secret santa on November 11.
- Ask your students to create cookie cutters, ornaments or other cool gifts that represent their school or community. Be sure to go through these activities with your students. There are instructions in the slide notes.
- Print enough gifts for your community partner and the students in your secret santa site. Upload the .stl file and your letter to our shared Google Drive.
- Present your gifts to your community partner and take photos. Upload them here!
- Mail your cookie cutters, culture letter, and local fun stuff to your secret santa site before November 25. The earlier the better.
- Plan a holiday party between December 5-18! Making cookies is a fun activity!
- Send photos of your community partners receiving their gifts to our shared Google Drive before Dec. 19.
- Send a thank you to your secret santa site by email or at the next Innovation Club meeting.
- Have every student complete this post-exchange survey. Coaches, please complete the survey as well.
Please take attendance through AirTable throughout the project. In the notes, please put “2025 Holiday Makerspace Challenge”.
