Students will call the Yukon–Koyukuk CTE Learning Center home for the program, where they’ll be introduced to the T3 approach: building a growth mindset, boosting confidence, and discovering what’s possible when curiosity meets creativity. From day one, students will jump into hands-on, project-based learning, exploring makerspace technologies and putting their ideas to work.

But learning won’t stop at the makerspace doors. Participants will also get a taste of life at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, with campus visits, conversations with program directors, and plenty of excitement during Engineering Week (E-Week). Think challenges, activities, and fun ways to see how engineering and problem-solving show up in the real world.

As students build skills, they’ll earn T3 Alaska badge certifications, culminating in one UAF credit, and apply what they’ve learned by collaborating with a community partner on a real-world project. It’s learning with purpose—practical, empowering, and deeply connected to community.

The experience also makes space for culture and connection. Students will attend the Festival of Native Arts and other university-sponsored events, celebrating creativity, tradition, and community alongside their technical learning.

By the end of the three days, students won’t just leave with new skills—they’ll leave with new perspectives, stronger confidence, and memories made alongside peers from across Alaska. This Fairbanks adventure is all about growth, creativity, problem-solving, and discovering what’s next.
