Energy Leadership and Digital Storytelling Summer Program session is a unique 10-day experience combining leadership development, energy education, and digital storytelling, centered around the Alaska Sustainable Energy Conference. Students from select communities across Alaska will enhance communication skills, explore the energy sector, and create professional-quality multimedia stories about their communities’ energy challenges and opportunities. The program aims to develop the next generation of Alaskan innovators, providing students with networking opportunities, technical training with environmental monitoring equipment, in digital media production, and a deeper understanding of Alaska’s energy landscape.

Tech Meets Nature: Remote Bear Cameras and Data Collection
May 27-June 14, 2025
Wrangell, AK
Join the Upward Bound/T3 Alaska Summer Program session in Wrangell that continues the remote Anan Bear camera project, teaches outdoor wilderness and boating skills, and utilize drones in a salmon restoration project. Unforgettable experiences in the breathtaking Tongass National Forest.
Open to returning UB/T3 Students only.

Upward Bound is a high school success and college preparation program at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. It is open to first generation and low income Alaska high school students. Upward Bound is a federally funded program aimed to improve the graduation rates of high school students and increase the number of graduates who continue with post-secondary education. Upward Bound program primarily serves low-income families with students who are the first generation to attend college. T3 Alaska expands Upward Bound services and experiences to students who do not qualify for the program. T3 Alaska is funded by community partners vested in the success of Alaska’s students and seeks to expand opportunities and community health for future generations.
